TAMAK AND GOVERNOR NIKITIN IN AUSTRIA. DAY 3

On November 29, 2018, during the official visit to Austrian Republic, the Tambov region delegation headed by Governor Alexandr Nikitin, together with the TAMAK delegation headed by the main shareholder Dr. Alexander Maculan held a business breakfast with the President of the Russian-Austrian Service Society, where the parties discussed possible expansion of cooperation.

After that, the representatives of the delegations took part in the flower-laying ceremony at the memorial to Soviet warriors who died during the liberation of Austria from nazism. The participants honored the memory of the dead with a minute of silence.

The memorial to Soviet warriors is situated at the Schwarzenbergplatz square in the central part of Wien. It was unveiled soon after the end of the Great Patriotic War. This ensemble comprises a concrete colonnade and a high granite stele crowned by a figure of a Soviet soldier. The memorial immortalizes the thousands of Soviet soldiers who died during the assault on the capital of Austria in 1945. It has an engraving in Russian on it, which says Eternal glory to the heroes of Red Army who fell in combat with the German Nazi invaders for freedom and independence of European nations. Figures of combatting Soviet soldiers stand by its sides.
